For Mike's (last official) Spring Break we went to Moab and got little cabins in the slick rock campground with our good friends The Mathesis. We did a little mountain biking and a lot of hiking through arches national park.
Delecate Arch. You can't see very well but Mike, Jeseppi and I are all standing underneath this HUGE arch.
We discovered the awesomness of "THE FIREY FURNACE" it is a slott canyon in Arches and its really cool! You seriously can get lost in there. Thanks to Mike's trusty GPS we were never worried that we were going to get lost. There are several canyons you can pick to go through, a lot of little drops and tight squeezes. We saw 3 arches just in that part!
Jeseppi had so much fun, He loved it when the backpack would scratch against the walls on both sides he giggled everytime and ask to do it again and again!
He learned what an arch was he kept naming everything he saw... Arch, Rock, Sand, Fire, Sky, Bird, Sun. etc etc. he's quite the little parrot these days. I LOVE IT!
Sorry these photo's are all out of order! Maybe someday I'll take more time and organize alittle better.
Jeseppi did the double arch hike all by himself, its like a .3 mile hike(no backpack)he loved the sand.
I was so proud of Seppi around the fire, because he knew not to go too close. It was pretty chilly so we had a fire going most of the time we weren't doing something. I hope he remembers how to do that for the many adventures to come this year!
What a great time! I Loved getting away with my family and exploring the beauty of the earth together.
