This year, Mike's family didn't do the usual Beach Trip. Instead, we went on a trip to Grand Lake, Colorado. It was so much fun, and the scenery there was SO beautiful. We stayed in a really nice cabin right by Rocky Mountain National Forest. You know you're in true wilderness when elk and moose walk by when you're eating dinner on the deck!
One day, we went on a short hike to the highest point in the National Park. We got up to 2.3 miles above sea level! Needless to say, the air was a lot thinner up there!
Mike found his "inner-fisherman" and found a new found interest in fly-fishing. He found one stream that was of particular interest and fished there for hours cathing fish every once in a while, but getting bites the entire time! Truly it was the most pristine and beautiful fishing spot EVER!
We also toured the town of Grand Lake, went horse back riding, read, relaxed and spent many hours puting together this lovely 1000 piece puzzle of time square in New York City!
We had a great time!
