THE LATEST PROJECT OF MINE

I Illustrated a book... WAHOO!! I'm an illustrator. ha ha.
okay, let me first tell you that this is a book that my sister Jami wrote. She really really wanted it to become a book because she thought it would do really well out in bear lake (where she lives)but waited a while to figure out how to go about the whole process. I finally told her that I'd love to take a whack at illustrating it and so I sketched countless pictures of what I thought the monster would look like. I finally came up with pictures and had to redo several of them and finally got them all just so, and we went to print this book- we decided to self-publish as of now.
One week in April I had the week off and I went out to Bear Lake and Jami and I went to a bunch of different stores with 1 mock up book (it was pretty close to being what the final book was going to look like). To our great surprise and thrill several places loved it and bought a bunch of books. We have sold over 300 books and were able to pay for most of the printing through our pre-sales.

Here is the front cover. -It's a hard bound book.

Here is the back cover.

This is Mike's favorite picture inside. There are several more.. it's very bright and very fun. Jeseppi LOVES his copy and asks me to read it to him all the time, and we don't even live in Bear Lake nor does he know anything about the legend. ha ha. There is a history page at the back of the book that talks about the legend, just for those who don't know the history.
We are very excited about this book. We are going to charge $18 for the book in Bear Lake but I have the go ahead to sell it to friends for $15. I have a box of books at my house just incase anyone wants a copy.

Happy 5th Anniversary

On Thursday the 19th Mike and I celebrated our 5th Wedding Anniversary! I can't believe its been 5 years. Mike and I dated for 5 years before we were married so we've officially lasted a decade- only half of which actually counts! I'm amazed that its been that long because it's gone by so fast. I can honestly say that I Love him more now than I did when I married him (although I loved him an awful lot then too!). I remember the day we got married, it was a beautiful day in May and our families were all gathered and we were all just SO HAPPY, I've never felt better about a decision before in my life. Mike has always been there for me when I have a bad day, or a couple of bad days. We may not have perfect lives but together we have helped each other weather all sorts of storms. I am so grateful to have him in my life, he has changed me for the better! I LOVE LOVE LOVE YOU MIKE!!! HAPPY 5 YEARS!

We went out to a movie during the day- the new pirates!! (which was great!!) My mom was awesome and watched Seppi. Then we hung out with Seppi for a couple of hours and dropped him off again at Mike's parents house and went out to dinner at the Cheesecake Factory, we had a great time, and I felt wined and dined! then we went and played some racing games at the Nickel Cade. I know that sounds funny, but I LOVE the Nickel Cade! We used to go on dates there when we were dating! haha. So FUN.

Jeseppi Turns 2

I can not believe that it has been 2 years since we had Jeseppi in our lives. Time sure does fly. It's like, I can't really remember or imagine my life without him and yet I can't believe its gone so fast. Seppi is the sweetest and funniest kid I know, he is constantly making me laugh out loud. Last Thursday was his birthday (the 12th) and Mike and I walked into his room in the morning singing Happy Birthday and the first thing he says is "Birthday Candles" and pretended to blow them out! He has been so excited about his birthday since he saw me blow out the candles at my birhtday party in March! I have caught him singing the Happy Birthday song over 4 or 5 times since them! I wish I had that on camera, so cute! We had a little party for Seppi and close family. I didn't want to make it a huge thing because I didn't want to overwhelm him. We had planned to have the party in our little courtyard but we got rained out for the first hour or so of the party. Instead we all crammed into our little apartment and made due with what we had! We ate pizza and cake, opened presents, did a pinata and let the kids play on the playground when the rain stopped! I think everyone had a good time, I know Seppi did. Jeseppi was so sweet after he opened every present he said "thank you" to whoever gave it to him! I am a proud momma! Happy Birthday my little man.
